About the Owner
Hi! I’m Jennifer Usher, the owner of Make It Sew.
I have been sewing for fun and work for 40 years. I have a degree in Art and Theatrical Design, and my experience includes costuming for theatrical productions and festival events, bridal alterations, and a stint in an Irish woolen clothing production shop. I was the Costume Shop Supervisor for Castleton University and a Costume and Wardrobe Tech for the Paramount Theater. I established Make It Sew in 2011. We are located in beautiful downtown Rutland, Vermont.
In my spare time (haha), I enjoy naps, gardening, traveling, spending time with my husband, being owned by a demanding cat, and dancing with Leanan Sidhe, a belly dance troupe based in Vermont.
